Senator Jason Allen has been married to his wife Suzanne for nearly 18 years.
They have two daughters, Meredith and Amanda. Allen attended Northwestern Michigan College and then transferred to Miami
University in Oxford, Ohio, earning a Bachelor's degree in finance. After college he returned home to northern Michigan
and helped operate his family's menswear business.
Jason Allen is currently serving his second term in Michigan's 37th State Senate District,
representing Grand Traverse, Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Chippewa and Mackinac counties. Allen is chairman of
the Senate Commerce and Tourism Committee and the Senior Citizens and Veterans Affairs Committee. He also serves on the Economic
Development & Regulatory Reform, Health Policy; and Local, Urban and State Affairs committees.
