"It will be like if you traveled to Dublin..."
With the Williamsburg Theater offering a bit of 'green beer' to boot, it promises to be a great way to celebrate to celebrate St. Paddy's day. In appreciation of St. Paddy's Day, Short's Brewing Company has graciously come on board to help celebrate the day with some of their awarding beer on tap during the afternoon of music. So gather your kin and all those who claim to be Irish..and join the March of the Leprechauns as they make their way for a bit of fun and good cheer at the Williamsburg. Finnegan with Ruby John will provide the music to lift your spirits and celebrate the wearing of the green.
It will be, as if you have traveled to the pubs of Dublin where the Guinness flows and the bright sounds of Irish Traditional Music fill the air. The band Finnegan with Ruby John will create a lively atmosphere in the tavern. Playing concertina, pennywhistle, Irish bouzouki, mandolin, guitar and bodhran, two seasoned performers captivate the audience with reels, jigs, hilarious ditties and the best-loved Irish songs.
Joining Finnegan for this Irish afternoon of music is the talented fiddler, Ruby John. Ruby is a talented Celtic fiddler from Northport, MI. She is Odawa and Irish and plays Celtic music with drive from her heart. Ruby grew up playing Celtic music weekly with TC Celtic and has studied with and has been mentored by some of the best fiddlers from the US and Canada.
