Welcome to a series of editorials about the future of Acme Township through the heart of the community. Were hoping to improve the quality of communications at the same time provide comments from the residents on what they would like to see for their community.
As you may know, it’s an election year and people are once again talking about what’s important for our community. You the residents will play important part in the decision process over the next several years. With this series we hope to communicate thoughts and ideas that will help move Acme into a healthy and vibrant community.
One of the major steps toward a healthy community has already started.
For those of you that have been following the on again off again Village of Grand Traverse Development for Acme, you know it’s been a very difficult time for all those concerned. But this project, the Village of Grand Traverse, fits nicely into the Grand Vision Plan for the Grand Traverse Area, at the same time providing needed jobs and an increase in tax revenue for the area.
As business owners we’re starting to hear people talk about new opportunities, and growth, and services, and community events, all right here in out beautiful Acme area.
At the same time they are still concerns about where the current leadership wants to take us. That’s why we’re hoping to develop a communication tool to discuss these issues with the current and future candidates. The ABA will be hosting a series of candidate forums to help better educate the community to make a positive choice in this fall’s election.
Acme Business Association would enjoy hearing your thoughts about your community and what you feel is the right direction. WE want to know, because we want to help take Acme where YOU want it to go! Let’s work together to help Acme once again thrive!
